Our Story The Beginning of Midwest Ag Electric
Midwest Ag Electric was founded by Shannon VanderSyde, whose passion for electrical work began at an early age. Shannon grew up in Minnesota and spent his teenage years learning the trade alongside his grandfather, an electrical contractor. By the time he graduated high school, he was already working full-time as an electrician, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that would shape his future career.
After earning his Journeyman and Master licenses in Minnesota, Shannon gained broad experience in residential, commercial and agricultural electrical work. In 2011, he founded Midwest Ag Electric, focusing exclusively on agricultural electrical solutions. Over the years, Shannon bought out his partner and has led the company as sole owner, growing it into a trusted provider for livestock and agricultural operations nationwide.
Our Approach
While Shannon initially never planned to specialize in swine and livestock facilities, he discovered a passion for the work and the people in the industry. Today, Midwest Ag Electric is known for its reliability, speed, technical expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We combine practical, experience with a dedication to safety, efficiency, and long-term performance.
