Midwest Ag Electric is looking for motivated Electrical Apprentices who are ready to start or grow their career in the electrical trade. This is an entry-level position where you’ll work under experienced electricians, gain hands-on experience, and receive support to becoming a licensed Journeyman.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with electrical installations, including:
  • Pulling wire and installing conduit
  • Installing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and panels
  • Learn and follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes
  • Practice and follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE and lockout/tagout
  • Help troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision
  • Use hand and power tools to assist with repairs, installations, and adjustments
  • Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment on the job site
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
  • Gain exposure to commercial and agricultural electrical systems
  • Participating in ongoing training and continuing education

What We’re Looking For

  • Interest in the electrical trade and willingness to learn
  • Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work safely, follow directions, and ask questions when needed
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed

Pay & Benefits

  • $20–$30/hour (depending on experience)
  • Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 per week
  • $175/day per diem when traveling
  • 6 paid holidays
  • PTO accrual starting after 90 days
  • Full MAE benefits package after 90 days
  • 401(k) – vested after 5 years
  • Required electrical license paid for by MAE
  • Continuing education for electrical licenses provided by MAE
